人工合成糖疫苗的研究进展与发展趋势

Recent Progress and Development Trend of Synthetic Carbohydrate Vaccines

  • 摘要: 糖化学及糖化学生物学的快速发展促使糖疫苗的研究取得了一系列重要成果,尤其在应对致命性疾病例如肿瘤和艾滋病的威胁方面,提供了新的防治方案。然而,在解决免疫耐受和实现结构均一性糖链的大规模合成之前,糖疫苗距离临床应用还有一定的距离。综述糖疫苗近期研究成果,介绍糖疫苗在应对细菌感染性疾病、艾滋病和肿瘤方面所取得的进展以及面临的挑战,以期为糖科学研究和新疫苗的开发提供思路。

     

    Abstract: Thanks to the advancement of carbohydrate chemistry and carbohydrate chemical biology, carbohydrate-based vaccines give us new possibilities in the clinical prevention and treatment of deadly diseases such as HIV and cancer. However, they are still some way from clinical use before overcoming the challenge of immune tolerance and structurally homogeneous synthesis. This review introduces the recent advances of synthetic carbohydrate vaccines, including the advantages and challenges in the treatment of bacterial infectious diseases, AIDS and cancer, in an attempt to provide insights into the study of glycosciences and the development of novel vaccines.
