Current Situation and Challenges Facing Artificial Intelligence in Its Application in New Drug Research and Development

  • 摘要: 人工智能作为一种新兴技术,是新药研发实现降本增效的重要方式之一,人工智能+新药研发已成为中国医药企业加速创新转型的重要驱动力。对国内外相关文献和资料进行检索和归纳,重点分析人工智能在新药研发领域的应用模式,总结开展人工智能应用的企业主体及应用场景,探究我国人工智能赋能新药研发面临的主要挑战。

     

    Abstract: As an emerging technology, artificial intelligence is one of the major ways for new drug research and development with lower costs and higher efficiency. Drug discovery via artificial intelligence has become an important driving force for Chinese pharmaceutical companies to accelerate their pace of innovation and transformation. Based on the relevant domestic and foreign literature and reference materials, this paper focuses on the analysis of the application model of artificial intelligence in the field of new drug research and development, with a summary of the entities and application scenarios of artificial intelligence as well as an exploration of the main challenges facing China's AI-empowered new drug research and development.
