Advances in Research on the Synthesis of 3-Deoxy-D-manno-2-octulosonic Acid Oligosaccharides

  • 摘要: 3-脱氧-D-甘露-2-辛酮糖酸是一种非哺乳动物来源的高碳糖,普遍存在于细菌的脂多糖和荚膜多糖中,被认为是研发抗菌疫苗和诊断工具的潜在靶标。按照3-脱氧-D-甘露-2-辛酮糖酸给体的类型,综述了3-脱氧-D-甘露-2-辛酮糖酸糖苷化反应的最新进展,着重介绍了这些糖苷化方法在一些代表性的复杂3-脱氧-D-甘露-2-辛酮糖酸寡糖合成中的应用。

     

    Abstract: 3-Deoxy-D-manno-2-octulosonic acid (Kdo) is a non-mammalian higher-carbon sugar, which is commonly found in the lipopolysaccharides and capsular polysaccharides of bacteria, and has been considered as a potential target for the development of antibacterial vaccines and diagnostic tools. In this review, we summarize the recent progress of Kdo glycosylation based on the types of the Kdo donors, and highlight the application of these glycosylation approaches in the synthesis of selected examples of complex Kdo oligosaccharides.
