Abstract:
Innovations in drug delivery systems are crucial for optimizing therapeutic effectiveness and reducing adverse effects. In recent years, personalized delivery systems have attracted more and more attention due to their ability to customize drug delivery schemes accurately to meet the individualized needs of patients. 3D printing technology, especially vat photopolymerization 3D printing technology, provides new ways for the manufacture of drug carriers and delivery devices with complex structures. The drug delivery systems prepared based on this technology can precisely control drug release and support functional delivery, thereby achieving personalized treatment. Taking microneedle patches and endoluminal stents as examples, this article focuses on the research progress of vat photopolymerization 3D printing technology in drug delivery devices and personalized drug release medical devices, and discusses the opportunities and challenges of this technology.
