Abstract:
Myricetin is a natural flavonoid compound with multiple pharmacological activities, such as anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic and anti-proliferative effects. However, its development and application have been limited by poor water-solubility, low bioavailability and low biological activity. In order to obtain new derivatives of myricetin with good water-solubility and high efficacy, chemists have conducted extensive structural optimization. In this review, the progress in research on myricetin and its analogues was reported, so as to provide reference for further structural optimization.
