Abstract:
The matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are an important group of enzyme in the process of tumor invasion and metastasis. Previous studies have shown a significant correlation between activated MMPs and tumor invasion behavior. Among MMPs, MMP-2 and MMP-9 play a major role in tumor invasion. Properties and pathogenesis as well as the degree of tumor deterioration can be better understood by constructing a probe to detect MMP 2/9, so that timely treatment can be performed. This article reviews the principles of peptide probe detection of MMP 2/9 and their application in disease treatment, providing a reference for researchers to build appropriate probes to detect MMPs.
