Advances of Research on Drug-Loaded Lipid Microbubbles Promoting the Development of Intelligent Ultrasonic Medical Technology

  • Composed of lipid shell membrane and gas nucleus, drug-loaded lipid microbubbles are multi-functional microbubbles loaded with therapeutic drugs. They can be used to enhance ultrasound imaging and intelligent drug delivery due to their high biocompatibility. At present, drug-loaded lipip microbubbles have been widely used as ultrasound contrast agents and ultrasound response drug delivery system. In the near future, they are going to be developed for new diagnostic and therapeutic applications. In this review, the structural characteristics and preparation methods of drug-loaded lipid microbubbles and the research progress of intelligent ultrasonic medical technology are systematically summarized, and their application prospects in ultrasonic medical technology are discussed.
