Research Progress on Mini-tablet Drug Delivery Systems

  • 摘要: 在国家政策的鼓励下,创新制剂和复杂制剂作为医药创新的主要驱动力得到广泛应用并填补了未被满足的临床需求。然而,儿童和老年患者的个性化治疗研究进展缓慢,面临用药困难的局面,亟需给药系统的创新突破。微型片剂具有易于吞咽、剂量准确、可灵活调整和释放模式多样化等特点,可满足多样化的治疗需求,特别是在儿童和老年患者群体中,已被证明是一种高依从性的剂型,展现出优异的应用前景。介绍了微型片剂的剂型特点、临床优势及国内外研究进展,并重点分析了微型片剂开发技术所面临的挑战,旨在为微型片剂给药系统的研发提供参考。

     

    Abstract: Encouraged by China’s national policies, innovative and complex formulations, as the major driving forces of pharmaceutical innovation, have been widely applied to fill unmet clinical needs. However, research progress on personalized therapies for pediatric and elderly patients has been slow, leading these patients to face difficulties in medication administration, thereby urgently requiring innovative breakthroughs in drug delivery systems. Mini-tablets, characterized by easy swallowing, accurate dosing, flexible dose adjustment, and diverse release profiles, can meet various therapeutic needs. This dosage form has demonstrated high patient compliance particularly in children and the elderly, showing excellent application prospects. This article outlines the formulation characteristics, clinical advantages, and both domestic and international research advancements on mini-tablets, with a focus on analyzing technical challenges in developing mini-tablets. The review aims to provide references for the research and development in mini-tablet drug delivery systems.
