Progress of Research on Drugs Targeting T Cell Development

T cells are the major players in adaptive immunity and thymus is the crucial organ for T cell development and maturation.The diversity of T cell receptors is an important basis for T cells to recognize and respond to diverse antigens, yet thymus undergoes agingrelated involution leading to impaired thymic function and decreased naïve T cell generation. This review summarizes the current progress of research on clinically used drugs promoting thymic T cell development, in order to provide reference for patients with impaired immune function to restore adaptive immunity.
