Intervention in Wound Healing of Diabetic Foot with Traditional Chinese Medicine via Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling Pathway

  • Diabetic foot(DF) is a serious foot complication of diabetes. Due to nervous and vascular lesions, together with bacterial infection, etc., the wounds of diabetic patients are prone to ulcers and are difficult to cure. DF wound healing showed persistent inflammation, blocked angiogenesis, abnormal tissue proliferation and remodeling compared with normal wounds. Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is an important way to regulate organ development, regeneration and maintain stem cell pluripotency, and is closely related to DF wound healing. This paper reviews the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine based on Wnt/β-catenin pathway in the intervention of DF wound healing in recent years, aiming to provide reference for the development of new drugs and clinical treatment of DF.
