Progress of Research on the Application of Exosomal Glycomics in Biomedicine

  • Exosomes are rich in glycoconjugates, which carry a lot of biological information and play an important role in various biological processes mediated by exosomes. Abnormally altered glycoconjugates in exosomes can be used as disease biomarkers and therapeutic targets. In addition, when exosomes are used as drug carriers, the improvement of their targeting is related to the modification of the surface glycoconjugates. This paper systematically reviews the glycomics in exosomes, the research methods of glycomics and their application in the field of biomedicine, aiming to provide some reference for the in-depth research and application of exosomes in the biomedical field based on the perspective of glycomics.
