Abstract
Metastasis significantly contributes to the mortality in breast cancer patients, with common metastatic sites including the brain, lungs, bones, and liver, among others. In the process of breast cancer metastasis, the unique nutritional environment and metabolic pathways of different organs may be the key factors leading to its propensity for metastasis. This review summarizes the latest research on the relationship between different metabolic pathways and breast cancer cell metastasis, and deeply explores the mechanisms by which organ nutritional environments and metabolic pathways affect the propensity for metastasis. It also briefly introduces potential therapeutic drugs that target tumor metabolism to inhibit breast cancer metastasis.
