Abstract
Liposomes, as an effective drug delivery system, can encapsulate water- and lipid-soluble drugs, offering numerous advantages such as prolonging the circulation time of drugs within the body, enhancing the stability and bioavailability of lipid-soluble medications, and reducing drug toxicity. By specifically modifying the surface of liposomes, long-circulating liposomes can be obtained, which can overcome the limitations of conventional liposomes, achieving prolonged circulation and high cellular uptake of drugs in vivo. This review summarizes the surface modification strategies, classification, and research progress of long-circulating liposomes in the field of tumor therapy in recent years, aiming to provide some reference for further research and application.
