Meta Analysis of the Efficacy and Safety of Modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Tang and Zhisou San Formula in the Treatment of Chronic Cough

Objective This study aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Tang and Zhisou San formula for the treatment of chronic cough (CC). Methods Relevant literature on the treatment of CC by Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Tang and Zhisou San formula was collected through comprehensive database retrieval. Cochrane was used to evaluate the quality of the literature, ane RevMan 5.4.1 was used for systematic analysis. Results A total of 6 randomized controlled trials were included in the study, involving 552 subjects, with 277 cases in the experimental group and 275 in the control group. The total effective rate and cure rate of the two groups were compared, with the experimental group having a higher rate (P＜0.05). The cough scores and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared, the scores of the experimental group were lower (P＜0.05). Conclusion The modified Linggan Wuwei Jiangxin Tang and Zhisou San formula for syndrome-differentiated treatment of CC can improve clinical efficacy and alleviate patients, cough with a lower incidence of adverse reactions.
