Abstract
In recent years, while hepatitis B has drawn more and more attention in clinic practice, its cure is a common goal for all the patients and their doctors. The risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer as well as mortality are significantly reduced in patients who achieve clinical cure. Currently, there are two main types of drugs approved for antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis B: interferons (IFNs) and nucleos(t)ide analogs, which still can't lead to clinical cure in most cases. In consideration of current treatment status, it is of great significance to develop new anti-hepatitis B drugs against different targets in the life cycle of HBV. This paper reviewed the research progress in new drugs for antiviral treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
