Abstract
The Reg protein family is a multifunctional protein superfamily that promotes the proliferation of various tissues and cells and inhibits apoptosis. Recent studies have suggested that Reg proteins are closely related to the pathogenesis development and treatment of various diseases. This article focuses on the roles of Reg proteins in diabetes, autoimmune diseases, inflammation, cancer, and other diseases, as well as the research progress in their applications as new drugs for relevant therapy, so as to provide new perspectives for the development of Reg proteins.
