Abstract
Drug-loaded adhesive hydrogels have become one of the most popular wound dressings due to their excellent physicochemical and biomedical properties. Among them, polymeric hydrogels are increasingly used in drug-loaded adhesive dressings due to their excellent adhesion, flexibility and moisturizing properties. They possess great application value in clinical treatment. In this article, the research progress in application of the common polymeric hydrogel materials, such as chitosan, gelatin, silk protein, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinylpyrrolidone was reviewed. The article presented the effects of polymeric hydrogel materials as wound dressing, including adhesive isolation, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities, as well as wound healing. In addition, the strategies for realizing the above functions were also discussed, so as to provide reference for the research and clinical application of drug-loaded polymeric adhesive hydrogels.
