Progress of Research on Vascular Endothelial Cell Dysfunction and Atherosclerosis

Vascular endothelial cells play a key role in local vasodilation, oxygen free radical generation, and blood vessel homeostasis.Endothelial cell dysfunction is one of the main factors causing atherosclerosis, therefore, maintaining normal endothelial function is significant to the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. This article introduces the factors causing endothelial dysfunction and related clinical therapeutics interventions, aiming to provide novel approaches for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.
